Tribal reportedly killed in Orissa

In Orissa, one tribal has reportedly been killed in police firing at Chandia village in Kalinga Nagar of Jajpur district today. <br/><br/>The incident took place when some armed tribals protested construction of common corriodor road in the industrial town of Kalinga Nagar. Police had to resort to blank firing to disperse the tribals.<br/><br/>However, the state administration has not confirmed death of the tribal due to police firing. It said the cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem report.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, opposition Congress party has demanded resignation of Chief Minister Mr Naveen Patnaik for death of a tribal due to police firing. <br/><br/>BJP has branded Naveen Patnaik government as a 'tribal murderer government'. In 2006, 12 tribals were killed in Kalinga Nagar due to police firing.
