The tribal painter Bhuri Bai of Madhya Pradesh was invited as the Chief Guest at the Foundation Day celebrations of Bharat Bhavan. J. Swaminathan, the renowned artist recognized her art and carried it forward. While sharing her experiences, Bhuribai  said that working as a labourer proved to be the turning point of her life. When she worked here, she did not even know that the building she is contributing to is going to be an art centre. She came to work considering it as just a building. Describing becoming the Chief Guest an emotional moment, she said that it was here that she got a platform to refine her art and got new opportunities. </span>
