Tri-series: With skipper at 101, Australia amass 270

Australia have amassed a formidable 270 for 7 against hosts Bangladesh in stipulated 50 overs in the first one day international cricket match at Mirpur. At the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Bangladesh started batting a short while ago. Micheal Clarke, who is playing his first match as the Australian captain, hogged all the limelight as he scored a delightful 101, inspiring his team to a competitive total. After the top order faltered to dominate, it was the fifth-wicket stand of 84 runs between Michael Clarke and Mike Hussey that helped the Aussies take a commanding position in the first of this three match series. For Bangladesh, Suhravadi Shuvo bagged 3 wickets.
