An earthquake of 4.9 magnitude today shook the Kashmir Valley but there were no reports of any loss in the tremor. Officials said in Srinagar, the moderate intensity tremor, which was recorded at 3.09 AM, had its epicentre in Hindukush mountain range in Afghanistan.
