Indian trap shooter Shagun Chowdhary has qualified for the 2012 London Olympics with a fourth place finish in the Women's Trap event in the Shotgun World Championship in Belgrade, Serbia today. Shagun made it to the six-member final from a strong field of 68 and even took a two-point lead midway before she eventually missed birds in the subsequent rounds to fall behind. Earlier, Shagun had got through a nerve-wracking shoot-off to make the final after a career-best 72 out of 75. China's Liu Yingzi won gold in the event, while Zuzana Stefecekova of Slovakia won silver and Elena Tkach of Russia won bronze. The other two Indian shooters at the event, Shreyasi Singh and Seema Tomar finished 32nd and 49th, respectively.
