Minister for Civil Aviation Ashok Gajapathi Raju said, Transparency and rule of law were the central themes behind the new "No Objection Certificate Application System (NOCAS)" of Airports authority of India. He inaugurated the NOCAS version 2.0 for giving online "No objection certificate (NOC)" for constructions near the airports. Airports Authority of India (AAI) issues NOC for height clearance to ensure the safety of aeroplanes and its passengers, while they are landing or departing from an airport.

AAI has issued Color Coded Zonig Maps (CCZM) for 12 major cities. Builders are not required to apply for NOC for buildings up to the heights permitted in CCZM. As per the officials of AAI, this initiative will help better India's low global ranking in dealing in construction permits. According to world bank India ranks at 183.
