Army Chief General Bipin Rawat today said that the transgression incident in Arunachal Pradesh, where Chinese workers entered Indian territory constructing a track has been resolved. Speaking to media on the sidelines of an event in New Delhi, General Rawat said, the Tuting incident has been resolved and a Border Personnel Meeting took place two days back on the issue. <br/><br/>On 26th of last month, Indian troops foiled attempts by Chinese road building teams to build a track on the Indian side of the border. Talking about the situation along the India-China border in Sikkim sector, where the two countries were involved in a 73-day-long standoff in Doklam, he said, there has been a major reduction in the number of troops on the Chinese side. <br/><br/>Earlier, speaking at the Army Technology Summit in New Delhi, the Army Chief pitched for modernization of the force and said India needed to be ready for future wars. He said, there is a huge requirement of modernisation of the armed forces in every field. <br/><br/>General Rawat said, future wars will be fought in difficult terrains and circumstances. He said, country has to gradually move away from imports in defence technology because for a nation like India, the time has come to ensure that it fights the next war with home-made solutions.
