Train services on Khargapur-Tatanagar section resumes

<br/>The train services on the Khargapur-Tatanagar section on the South Eastern Railway have resumed after remaining suspended for nearly three hours following a guard of a goods train heard an explosion-like sound when the train was passing between Gidni and Jhargram stations. <br/> <br/>The guard brought it to the notice of the Railway Control Room and all train services were immediately suspended this morning as a precautionary measure. South Eastern Railway sources said the goods train which left Jhargram at 7.15 am had reached Haldia safely at 7.58 am.<br/> <br/>A Railway Protection Force party along with bomb squad personnel visited the spot to ascertain whether any explosion had occurred but found no such thing.<br/> <br/>A number of trains, including the Steel Express, were stopped at various stations.<br/> <br/>Meanwhile, the Railways have further extended suspension of night running of trains till the 26th of this month in Kharagpur division keeping in mind the prevailing situation in the area.<br/> <br/>The suspension had come in force after the Jnaneshwari train derailment near Jhargram on May 28 which claimed 148 lives.<br/> <br/>The suspension of night train services was to end on Tuesday.<br/>
