In Telangana, nine students died and several others were injured when a passenger train rammed into a school bus at a level crossing at Masaipet village in Medak District.

The condition of several other students is stated to be serious. About 30 students were onboard the school bus when the accident took place this morning.

The District administration has begun rescue and relief activities and the injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals. More details are awaited.
