In Odisha, at least 13 persons including 12 women have been killed and six others seriously injured in a road accident.The accident occured when the Rourkela-Bhubaneswar Intercity Express rammed into their auto-rickshaw at Khairapalli in Sambalpur district this morning. The accident occurred at an unmanned level-crossing at Khairapalli situated between Sambalpur city andManeswar railway station. Six persons died on the spot. All the passengers in the auto-rickshaw were reportedly agriculutral labours and were on their way for daily work. The seriously injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals and some them are said to be very critical. Police and local people joined hands in the rescue job, while senior railway officials have rushed to the Khairapalli. Train services on the route has been restored.
