In Bihar, a major train accident was averted due to alertness of patrolmen between Sathajagat and Dalsinghsarai railway stations under Sonepur division of East Central Railway. <br/><br/>East Central Railway General Manager DK Gayan said, a plan to cause derailment was foiled when trackmen who were on night patrolling spotted two big stone slabs deliberately placed on railway track near the railway bridge between Dalsighsarai and Sathajagat at midnight last night. <br/><br/>The obstruction could have caused derailment of Muzaffarpur- Bhagalpur Intercity Express which was to cross at that time. ECR has launched intensive safety campaign in its all five divisions.
