The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India will give the final proposal on Unsolicited Commercial Communications(UCC) Regulations in about a months time. Addressing the media after an open house discussion with consumers, tele marketeers and service providers on ways to curb the menace of UCC, Chairman of TRAI, Dr J S Sarma said there is need for comprehensive review of National Do Not Call (NDNC) Registry. Accepting that NDNC Registry has failed he added that all posible steps should be taken to plug the loopholes to prevent consumers' database from getting disclosed to telemarketeers.
