The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has asked all direct-to-home (DTH) operators to enable online payment system to promote digital transaction. In its advisory, TRAI has said, DTH sector is a vibrant sector and has a large consumer base. <br/><br/>Enabling bill payments in such sector, through digital means, will certainly provide convenience to consumers. It said, the initiative will help in promoting a less-cash economy. The TRAI said, DTH operators should enable online payment system using BHIM, UPI and Bharat QR code.
