Telecom regulator TRAI has asked the telecom operators to ensure compliance with call drop regulations, effective from January 1st this year. TRAI's directions come even as the service providers remain defiant and say compensation to subscribers will be paid only after court orders them to do so.<br/><br/>Quoting an official PTI reports, TRAI has recently written to all telecom operators reminding them about call drop regulations with expectations that they have put all mechanisms in place to comply with the regulations. Telecom operators have approached the Delhi High Court against call drop regulation. The court's hearing is on this Wednesday. The rules mandate telecom operators to provider 1 rupee compensation for each call dropped, with a compensation cap of 3 rupees per day.
