Traffic on the strategic Jammu-Srinagar national highway has resumed after remaining suspended for nearly two days following a massive landslide at Digdole, Ramban district.<br />'' <br />'' The stranded vehicles were allowed to move soon after the road was made traffic worthy last evening and later the light motor vehicles were also allowed from both Srinagar and Jammu.<br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, train service from Srinagar to Banihal was also resumed today after remaining suspended for more than three months due to security reasons. <br />'' <br />'' Two trial runs on Srinagar-Banihal railway line were conducted successfully yesterday, paving the way for the resumption of full services in Kashmir Valley from today.<br />''  

The 300 kilometre long Jammu – Srinagar National Highway which was closed for vehicular traffic in the morning today is now through for traffic.The Highway which is the only road link connecting Kashmir Valley with rest of the country had to be closed for traffic today due to yesterday’s snowfall at Jawahr Tunnel and stretch between Qazigund to Lower Munda.The stretch between Qazigund and Lower Munda had become slippery due to yesterday’s snowfall and as a precautionary measure the Highway was closed.The traffic which was suspended from 4 am in the morning was allowed to ply after 11 am today.
