The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, the only surface link between Kashmir Valley and rest of the country, was closed for vehicular traffic for third consecutive day today. A senior official said that heavy rainfall had triggered landslides at five or six places along the 300-kms long highway and no fresh traffic has been allowed between Jammu and Srinagar due to snowfall at Jawahar Tunnel. He however, said that over 200 stranded vehicles have been allowed to pass through after clearing the roads. Workers of Border Road Organisation (BRO) are also working to clear the highway.
