Maldivian President Mohamed Nasheed says, trading with India is far easier than with China. Talking to news persons after his meeting with Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh in New Delhi yesterday he said India is a better investment destination for many reasons because of language, culture and film music. During his meeting with Dr. Singh, both discussed a host of regional and bilateral issues, including piracy, maritime security and expanding trade and investment between the two countries. They also discussed ways to strengthen SAARC and the situation in Libya. Underlining the need to maintain a balance in the Indian Ocean, he said Maldives does not favour any installation, military or otherwise in the Indian Ocean, specially from non-traditional friends.
