External Affairs Minister SM Krishna, who is on a three-day visit to Egypt, will address the Heads of Indian Diplomatic Missions in West Asia and North Africa region in Cairo today. He is accompanied by a high-level delegation.
The visit is aimed at enhancing bilateral co-operation in trade and economy between the two countries. He is also scheduled to hold talks with the Arab Lrague Chief Nabil El Arabi.
Marking Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore’s 150th birth anniversary celebrations, the Minister will unveil a portrait of Tagore in Cairo. Later in the evening, he will interact with the Indian community at a reception to be hosted by the Indian Ambassador in Egypt.
