Toyota to recall 1.2 mn vehicles over fuel leakage risks

Japanese car manufacturer Toyota on Wednesday said it has decided to recall up to 1.2 million vehicles due to possible fuel leakage risks. According to a report filed by Toyota with the transport ministry, the recall involves a total of 16 models, including the Noah manufactured between May 2000 and October 2008. The world's largest automaker made the move as the units concerned run risks of leaking fuel as the engine pipe could crack or the connection of valves could get loose. The recall marks the second largest since 1969 when the recall system began in Japan.
