Toyota recalls 8 millions vehicles

The President of the Japanese car manufacturing firm Toyota has publicly apologised for the defaults in its vehicles that have caused safety worries. Toyota is recalling about eight million vehicles with faulty accelerator paddles, but have not yet decided whether to recall previous cars which have been investigated by the US authorities because of brake problems. This is the first time that the Company's President and the Chief Executive has faced the media to explain the mistakes which have cost the company billions of dollars and led to the recall of millions of cars. He offered an apology to all customers affected insisting that vehicles are safe and outlined a series of steps the company would take to prevent the mistakes being made again. …
