Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said that tourism sector in the country has tremendous potential and it can contribute a lot in making India a super economic power. <br/><br/>Inaugurating the Paryatan Parv – Grand Finale at India Gate lawns in New Delhi this evening, Mr Singh said, India can come in the world's top three economies, if its potential in tourism is fully harnessed. He said, no other country has unity in diversity like India. <br/><br/>He said, the Centre has taken many steps to boost the tourism sector. He said, the Tourism Ministry is aiming to take its contribution to the GDP to 18 per cent in the next five years from the present 9 per cent. Mr Singh expressed happiness that the Paryatan Parv which began on 5th of this month all over India has been successfully completed. <br/><br/>He said, India has an ancient tradition of Atithi Devo Bhav. He said, everyone have to inculcate ancient traditional values in the people. He informed that Home Ministry has taken several measures to promote tourism. <br/><br/>He said, e-visa is being given within 72 hours and so far more than 29 lakh tourists have availed this facility. He opined that the private sector should also be involved in the promotion of tourism. <br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, Tourism Minister K J Alphons said, Paryatan Parv has been organized with the objective of drawing focus on the benefits of tourism, showcasing the cultural diversity of the country and reinforcing the principle of Tourism for All.
