The Centre today said that the tourism sector in the country is on a revival path recovering from the impact of Covid-19 pandemic. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy informed that the tourism sector has bounced back with 6.19 million footfalls of Foreign Tourists to the country as compared to 2.74 million arrivals in 2020. The Union Minister said, during the year 2021 the Foreign Tourist Arrivals figure was 1.52 million.<br />'' <br />''He said the hotel industry occupancy rate in November 2022 stood at around 68 to 70 percent attaining the figure of the pre-pandemic level of 2019-20. Mr Reddy said the government has worked on a tourist and destination-centric approach to revamping its Swadesh Darshan Scheme.&nbsp; He said, 48 destinations across 27 states and Union Territories have been identified for development under the Scheme.&nbsp;
