Union Tourism Ministry is observing a Swachhta Pakhwada to create general awareness about the need for cleanliness in all walks of life. The Pakhwada which began on Friday will continue till 30th of this month. Today, Students of Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Nutrition, Pusa, participated in swachhta pakhwada at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.<br/><br/>During this pakhwada, the Ministry will daily conduct various activities. The officers and staff will undertake cleaning of ten pre-selected tourist sites. An essay competition on the topic – cleanliness will also be organized on 24th September in English and the next day, it will be in Hindi. On 27th of September which is the World Tourism Day, the Ministry will organize a Run for Swachh Paryatan from Transport Bhawan to India Gate.
