<span style="color: #222222;">The Tourism Ministry has launched a 24×7 multi-lingual tourist Info-Helpline on the toll-free number 1800111363 or on a short code 1363 in 12 languages including 10 international languages. This includes Hindi and English for domestic and foreign tourists to provide information relating to Travel in India and guidance to tourists in distress while travelling in India. In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, the Minister of State for External Affairs V. Murleedharan informed that the government is aware of the advisory issued on 15th of November this year by the U.S. <br />''<br />''The U.S. advisory to its citizens travelling to India mentioned taking caution due to crime. Quoting National Crime Record Bureau data of the last five years of a number of foreign tourists attacked and faced sexual assault in India, the Minister informed the house that the figures have come down from 382 in 2016 to 191 in 2020. He said that the Tourism Ministry has advised all the States and UTs to deploy Tourist Police in their respective places. He said, many State Governments and UTs including Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu and &nbsp;Kashmir, UP, Delhi, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha have already deployed Tourist Police for the safety and security of tourists. The Minister said that the Bureau of Police Research and Development has constituted a Committee with the Ministry of Tourism as a member setting up dedicated Call Centres with Police personnel at important tourist destinations with high footfall. &nbsp;</span><br />
