Stakeholders in the tourism industry on Monday signed a pledge for conducting safe and sustainable business in the sector. They maintained that they will protect all individuals from all derogatory acts which are not recognized in the country. The pledge on Code of Conduct for Safe Tourism was signed in presence of Union Tourism Minister Ms. Kumari Selja on the occasion the world tourism day to recognize the high dependence of tourism activities on climate conditions.Speaking on the occasion, the Ms Selja emphasized the need for safe and sustainable tourism in the country. She said pledge conveys a strong message to all tourists and stakeholders to desist from indulging in nefarious activities in tourism sector.
