In Kerala, the Thrissur based Kerala Sangeetha Academy will soon begin two touring talkies, in a bid to popularise good cinema amongst the masses.One of the units will be stationed at Thiruvananthapuram covering the southern districts of the state, while another will be at Kannur catering to the northern districts. The existing unit based in Thrissur will cover the central districts.The touring talkies will benefit film societies, art and cultural organisations, libraries and film clubs in schools. The regional centers of the Academy will have a well-stocked library of classic films.
