Rabi crops have been sown in over four crore 72 lakh hectares till date which is more than 34 lakh hectares during the corresponding period last year. Data released by the Agriculture Ministry said, wheat has been sown in over two crore 25 lakh hectare which is about 23 lakh hectare more than last year. Over one crore 21 lakh hectare area has been covered under the cultivation of pulses which is around 11 lakh hectare more under the crop last year. The coarse cereals have been sown in over 44 lakh hectare, Oilseeds in 72 lakh hectare.
