Total of 7,59,163 PMAY-G houses have been completed in Assam during last 2 years: Assam govt

Assam Government has completed 11,63,471 Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana- Gramin (PMAY-G) houses of the sanctioned 18,30,400 total houses in the state.<br />'' <br />'' Addressing the media persons in Guwahati, Ranjeet Kumar Dass, Minister for Panchayat and Rural Development Department (P&RD), Government of Assam said that the remaining 6,66,929 PMAYG houses are targeted to be completed by 15th August 2023. He said, a total of 7,59,163 PMAY-G houses have been completed during the last 2 years.<br />'' <br />'' The Minister said that to accommodate the landless PMAY-G beneficiaries, the Department has taken the initiative to provide land to construct a cluster of PMAY-G houses and 07 clusters have been completed apart from 19 other ongoing clusters covering 838 beneficiaries across 10 districts of the state.<br />'' <br />'' Mr. Dass also informed that 40,096 landless PMAY-G beneficiaries were provided land to construct their houses. He said, under a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), 81,638 beneficiaries of Tea Garden areas received PMAY-G houses.<br />'' <br />''The Minister informed that the State government is planning to solemnize a mass Griha Pravesh ceremony for more than 2.5 lakh recently completed houses in next month.
