The government today said a total of 2414 posts of medical professionals are vacant in  ESI Corporation, ESIC, medical institutions as of 31st July this year. <br />''<br />''This includes doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff. In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Labour and Employment Rameswar Teli said there were a total of 3691 doctors, both regular and contractual in the ESIC hospitals till 31st July 2022. He said there are a total of 160 Employees' State Insurance, ESI hospitals in the country of which  51 hospitals are run by the ESIC directly and 109 are run by the States under the ESI scheme. The Minister said over 12 crore  ESI beneficiaries were eligible to avail ESI facilities as of 31st March this year.   <br />''<br />''<br />
