<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">The government today said as per the sixth Economic Census, a total of five crore 84 lakh 95 thousand 359 economic establishments were listed in the country. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Statistics and Programme Implementation Rao Inderjit Singh said the economic census is the complete count of all non-farm economic establishments located within the geographical boundary of the country. He said economic census data has been widely disseminated to several government and non-government agencies for their research, analysis and policy formulations. The Minister said the usage of economic census data by these agencies is expected to facilitate in designing of developmental policies for economic growth and employment generation in the country.</span></p>
