<span style="color: #222222;">The total estimated milk production in the country is 176.35 million tonnes during 2017-18. Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Sanjeev Balyan said in a written reply in Lok Sabha that the National Action Plan for Dairy Development envisages milk production target of 254.55 million tonnes by 2022. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">This department is supplementing efforts of the state governments to develop dairy infrastructure across the country by providing financial support through dairy development schemes. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Balyan said there is provision for providing central assistance and subsidy to states varying from 25 per cent to 100 per cent depending on dairy components.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Commissioners of Food Safety of States and Union Territories are regularly conducting surveillance and enforcement drives to curb the adulteration in milk and milk products.</span><br />
