Total COVID-19 cases climb to 8,436 in Nagaland

<span style="color: #222222;">In Nagaland, the total COVID-19 cases climbed to 8,436 after 140 fresh positive cases were detected today.<br />'' <br />'' Health and Family Welfare Minister S. Pangnyu Phom informed that 118 cases were reported from Dimapur, 16 in Kohima, 2 each in Mokokchung and Zunheboto and 1 each from Wokha and Tuensang. He also said 101 patients have recovered.<br />'' <br />'' While, the Health Department COVID-19 bulletin stated that of the new cases reported, 96 cases were detected among traced contacts, 38 from Armed Forces, 4 from returnees and 2 from frontline workers.<br />'' <br />''With 6,500 people recovered so far, the recovery rate stands at 77.05 per cent. Presently, there are 1,837 active cases in the state while, 22 persons have succumbed to the infection.</span>
