In Meghalaya, the total cases of COVID-19 have reached 44, out of which there are 17 active positive cases, 26 recovered and one deceased.<br />'' <br />'' Health Minister, AL Hek informed that so far 14,147 samples have been sent for testing, 13,303 negative and results of 800 are awaited. He added that 15454 returnees have so far reached the State.<br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong informed that the State Government has decided to allow marriage ceremony inside places of worship but under strict protocol.<br />'' <br />'' Although places of worship are closed, yet the Government has decided to allow weddings to take place after receiving requests from many religious leaders, the Deputy CM said.<br />'' <br />'' He added that the public will have to write an application to the concerned Deputy Commissioner for the permission.<br />'' <br />'' On reopening of hotels and places of tourist interest, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the respective Deputy Commissioners have been directed to hold close consultative meeting with the stakeholders up to the village level and once done the Government will take a decision.<br />'' &nbsp;
