Torrential rains lash many districts of Rajasthan

The Southwest Monsoon is active in many parts of Rajasthan. Torrential rainfall lashing in the Hadoti region for the last 24 hours. Many villages of Ramganjmandi Sub-Division of Kota district have been flooded. Sub-Divisional Magistrate Vinod Kumar Meena has visited the affected villages and is making all necessary arrangements for the affected people. The local administration has been put on alert to handle any emergency situation. A Control Room has been set up in Tehsil's Office.<br />''<br />''Many Houses in Sangod, Kanwas and Devali areas of the district are submerged. Due to continuous heavy rain in Kota, Jhalawar, Bundi and Baran the inflow of water has increased in the dams. The water level of the Chambal river is also increasing. Apart from the state capital Jaipur, Dholpur, Bharatpur, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Bikaner and many other districts are also receiving moderate to heavy rain.<br />''<br />''The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for some parts of the states indicating heavy rainfall during the next two to three days.
