Torrential rain the since last three days in Karnataka has caused six deaths, damaged 950 houses and ruined crops in about 9000 hectare. Sudhakar, Secretary from the Revenue Department said at as per the preliminary report received, Haveri District reported highest loss. Other districts that have faced the onslaught of heavy showers are Shimoga, Davangere and Gulbarga. The Met department forecast till day after tomorrow says that moderate to rather heavy rain would occur at many places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka & South Interior Karnataka.
