Torrential rain continued to lash northern and eastern parts of the country. Heavy rain lashed various parts of Delhi this morning but the water level in Yamuna started receding today even as several low-lying areas along the river in the national capital remained inundated with flood water. <br/> <br/>In Uttar Pradesh, several districts of western and eastern parts are still flood-affected and thousands of acres of agriculture land are under water. More from our correspondent.<br/> <br/>Heavy rain once again hit the normal life at different places in Uttarakhand, specially in Garhwal region.<br/> <br/>In Assam, more than two lakh people in over 250 villages have been affected due to floods in five districts. The affected districts are Lakhimpur, Dhemaji, Golaghat, Jorhat and Bongaigaon. The State Government has sounded high alert in view of flash floods in upper reaches of neighbouring Arunachal Pradesh. Vast areas of the Kaziranga National Park and the Pabitora Wildlife Sanctuary have also been inundated.
