In UP, the normal life has been thrown of out of gear due to torrential rain across the state. At least 14 people have lost their lives in rain related incidents . The river Ghaghra is above the danger mark in Barabanki, Gonda, Ballia and Faizabad while the river Ganga has cross the red mark in Ballia. Our Gorakhpur correspondent reports that relief material is being distributed to the stranded people. He adds that it is for the fourth time that the area has experienced flash floods.The river Ganga is overflowing in Varanasi where ghats have been submerged. The funeral of bodies is being done in the streets leading to Harischandra ghat. Low-lying roads in cities are waterlogged. The intermittent rain is still occurring in Gorakhpur and adjoining areas.”
