A tornado struck parts of Auckland in New Zealand today, killing one person and injuring several others. Authorities said the storm covered an area of at least five kilometers wide, tearing the roof off a major shopping mall and flipping over cars as it moved across Albany, a suburb in New Zealand's largest city. Emergency services have been activated to co-ordinate the response and relief efforts.
