Nishikori and J Chardy of France in Melbourne. In other second round matches today, Swiss player Roger Federer will face American Noah Rubin while J. Tsonga of France will take on Serbian Dusan Lajovic. Stanislas Wawrinka will clash with S. Johnson while Andrey Rublev will face World number one Aundy Murray. Six-time champion Novak Djokovic Djokovic also entered into second-round beating Spain's Fernando Verdasco in straight sets 6-1, 7-6, 6-2 yesterday. In Women's section second round matches, Venus Williams will open proceedings against Swiss qualifier Stefanie Voegele. Carina Witthoeft will take on defending champion Angelique Kerber. There are no Indian players in the Singles categories. In the first round of Men's doubles, Rohan Bopanna with his Uruguayan partner Pablo Cuevas defeated the pair of Thomaz Bellucci of Brazil and Maximo Gonzalez of Argentina 6-4, 7-6 this morning. In Women's doubles, Sania Mirza with her Czech Republic partner Barbora Strycova will face the British duo of Jocelyn Rae and Anna Smith.
