Gunmen shot dead a top police officer and two of his guards in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochinstan province on Saturday morning. Police said Deputy Superintendent of Police of Balochistan province, Habibullah and two policemen were ambushed when they were heading to office from Habibullah's residence in Quetta. Two other police men were injured in the attack on the police vehicle in Jail Road. No group claimed responsibility for the firing and the police suspect anti-government insurgents may be behind the attack.
