Nodal officer appointed by the Home Ministry, VK Duggal has convened a meeting of top officials of all relief agencies tomorrow to streamline rescue efforts.

Rajasthan, Gujarat and Haryana Governments have also provided helicopters and buses for the evacuation of pilgrims. Met Department has predicted rain in Uttarkhand tomorrow which is posing a big challenge to those engaged in the rescue operations.

Met Department Director B P Yadav said that the rain would occur in Himachal Pradesh also. IAF Group captain Tejvir Singh said that they are trained to take calculated risk.

IAF Wing Commander R C Pathak said that rescue operations have been accelerated in view of the prediction of rain.
