A top NDFB militant was apprehended by BSF while he was trying to infiltrate into India from Bangladesh. The hard core militant was caught near Baldova border observation post in Meghalaya’s West Garo Hills district yesterday. BSF spokesman said that the NDFB militant a resident of Udalguri in Assam, had joined the NDFB in 1998 and had undergone arms training at Bhutan.He was involved in extortion of money and helped NDFB (AT) cadres to cross over Indo – Bangladesh International border from Meghalaya in the year 2002 and 2003. He mostly remained stationed at Buxiganj of district Jamalpur in Bangladesh. He was also the most wanted militant by the Assam police since he is involved in many killings and Bomb blast cases. He has been handed over to the Meghalaya police for further investigation.
