A top insurgent leader was arrested during a search operation at Thangmeiband area in Imphal West district. Police sources said today that commandos launched a search operation in the area on Monday during which self-styled secretary of the division-6 of the major insurgent organisation, People's Liberation Army, Sanju Singh was arrested. After interrogation, commandos further launched search operation in parts of Thoubal district during which they seized two AK-47 rifles and some ammunition.
