Top Indian former players question Dhoni's captaincy in India-England Test series

India's beleaguered cricketers have come under sharp criticism from top Indian former players who have questioned Mahendra Singh Dhoni's captaincy in the Test series against England. Talking to a private news channel, former captain, Sunil Gavaskar said India will need to take some firm decisions after crashing to their second successive innings defeat. Mr Gavaskar urged the powers-that-be to take some tough calls and suggested that India stopped playing Test cricket altogether for a while.Former Captain Dilip Vengsarkar found fault with the BCCI for not being serious enough about Test matches. Vengsarkar castigated team coach Duncan Fletcher and said the entire coaching staff should be sacked immediately. He also criticised captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's leadership and tactical acumen. Former Captain Srikkanth said the Indian cricketers lacked willingness to fight it out. Spinner Erapalli Prasanna called the debacle a disappointing sight. Yesterday, India, in one of its worst defeats , lost the Oval Test to England by an innings and 244 runs.
