Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today said that reforms are not about one sensational idea and it will take a lot of time to rectify the economy.
Speaking at World Economic Forum's India Summit in New Delhi, Mr Jaitley said that he is satisfied with the beginning the NDA government has made. He also said that India is not opposed to trade facilitation under World Trade Organization.
Mr. Jaitley said India has welcomed large investments made by international investors in infrastructure. He also said if initial experiment in foreign investment in railway succeeds it will probably lead to further opening. Mr jaitley said that government will pass the insurance bill in the winter session.
On relations with Pakistan, Mr. Jaitley said India sent clear signals that it is willing to speak to Pakistan and normalise relations but there are red lines. He said it is for Islamabad to decide if they want to speak to our Foreign Secy or those who want to break India.
