The series of flash floods and landslides which hit Jakholi and Ukhimath regions of Rudraprayag district in Uttarakhand four days back have left 53 people dead and 16 missing. Meanwhile the scheduled visit of UPA Chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi to affected areas of Uttarkashi and Rudraprayag district has been cancelled due to poor weather condition. A large number of affected people had gathered at the helipads of Rudrapryag and uttarkashi district early in the morning to meet Mrs Gandhi.
