Kerala Execise Minister P.K.Gurudasan has said, all the toddy shops in Malappuram district will be closed in view of the hooch tragedy in Malappuram. 250 toddy shops are already closed . Mr. Gurudasan also said that illicit liquor which led to the death of 23 persons contained methane alchohol as per the preliminary post-mortem report. State Excise Commisioner Mr. Subbaiah said in Malappuram that he will submit the report to the government on Monday.
