Today is World Water Day. The United Nations has designated March 22 as the world water day to highlight the importance of fresh water and managing water resources. This year’s theme is 'Clean Water for Healthy World. The total volume of water on earth is about 1.4 billion cubic kilometre.<br/><br/>However, only less than one per cent of the world fresh water is readily accessible for human use. More than one billion people in the world today do not have access to clean water. Several programmes have been organised across India to celebrate the day.<br/>
