Today is World Hepatitis Day. Several functions, seminars are being organised across the world to increase the awareness and understanding of viral hepatitis and the diseases that it causes. In Delhi, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, AIIMS, released a medical report suggesting that there are about three crore patients in the country. Briefing reporters in New Delhi on Wednesday, Dr. S.K. Acharya, Head of the Gastrology Department, AIIMS, said that the ace hospital provides an economical treatment of the hazardous disease.
