Today is Moon Landing Day. The day marks 52nd Anniversary of the event when man first walked on the moon in 20th July 1969.<br />”Apollo-11 was the spaceflight that carried Commander Neil Armstrong and lunar module pilots, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins.<br />”While Alridn and Armastrong made the first crewed landing on the surface, Collins was the astronaut who flew the Apollo-11 command module Columbia around the moon.<br />” <br />”Armstrong and Aldrin spent over 21 hours on the lunar surface at a site they named 'Tranquility Base'. They rejoined astronaut Collins in the command module Columbia and returned to Earth on 24th of July.<br />” <br />”<span style="color: #222222;">In the United States, National Moon Day was proclaimed in 1971 by the then President Richard Nixon to honour the anniversary of man's first moon landing.</span><br />
